In a few minutes I’ll be heading out to the largest regional conference for language teachers in the United States, the Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (CSCTFL). I’ll be leading a three-hour workshop and a one-hour session, but mostly I’m excited to meet and learn from old and new friends.
Will you be there? If not, what other conferences or learning opportunities have you recently benefited from, and what ones do you hope to participate in soon?
Even if you can’t attend CSCTFL, electronic handouts from many of the sessions will be made available to the public, so keep your eyes peeled!

You can view the full program here. Grant Boulanger, 2015 Minnesota World Language Teacher of the Year and a candidate for CSCTFL Teacher of the Year, has compiled lists of presentations by #langchat moderators and ten sessions not to miss–ones that he expects will give special attention to the power of Comprehensible Input in the acquisition of a language. (I’m honored that he included mine!)
